Template:Fauna infoboxThe squirrel toad is a small hybridized amphibian with the body of toad and the tail of squirrel. It dwells in the Haunted forest, and once was mentioned by Sokka as one of "faces all over the place".

History Edit

While the Team Avatar exploring to the Haunted Forest along with Zuko's unstable sister, Azula, Aang detected something using his Avatar power. He began to making some strange faces emotion that were shown during their first meet with the Wolf spirit. Sokka spotted some marks that were unknown of the others, making some facial emotions. He appointed a knot of squirrel toads as one of a mark in the forest that was referred as "face".[1]

Anatomy Edit

The squirrel toad has a pale yellow-colored skin, and a brown back. There is also a light mark of smiling face that runs over its back, and at the end of its body, a brown colored-tail of squirrel dangles. It also has two huge eyes.

Connection Edit

As implied in the name, the animal is a cross between the squirrel and the toad. Squirrels are a common mammal that could be found hanging around above the trees branches. Toads are amphibians in the order Anura that are characterized by dry, leathery skin, short legs, and snout-like parotoid glands. Toads are commonly found on forests and dry places, that are the opposite of its family, the frogs.
